About Montreal Tech Watch

Primary Objective

Montreal Tech Watch covers technology and innovation in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Its primary objective is to showcase technology excellency in Montréal, promote innovation and entrepreneurship amongst its audience, and act as a central place for Montrealers interested in technology.

Topics include technology entrepreneurship, new media such as video games, research and development, new services and products, social usage of technology and more. There are also interviews, reports of Montreal tech events, polls, and round-ups of innovative technology and entrepreneurs.

Team

Past and current contributors to the blog:

  • Heri is the original founder of Montreal Tech Watch. He has a telecom engineering background, but has now interests in software and product design. He launched Montreal Tech Watch to highlight technology innovation in the region of Montreal, and has since then worked with many entrepreneurs to work on ventures and events. Read Heri’s posts

  • Michel currently works in Quality Assurance at EA Mobile, where he spends his time breaking games by tapping iPhones in bizarre and unexpected ways. His passion for game design began with the digital, but now includes ARGs and board games. Michel plans to enroll in the Vancouver Film School’s Game Design program sometime in mid or late 2009, barring any imminent offers of employment as a game designer based on the strength of his self-taught skills. Montreal Tech Watch is a blog

While the content is verified before published, do remember that there will be typographical, grammatical or just plain errors, something that you should take into account for each post. The website is also in a blog format, meaning there are frequently personal opinions, unlike in a traditional newspaper feature. Moreover, comments are always open to the general public, and there’s a very open policy with user contribution. Do take them with a grain of salt.
