Last spring, Conor Clarke got into Startupifier with Gabriel Lespérance, with the wavo.me project in mind. He saw the opportunity to be into technology networks, then hanged out in Notman House, and then went to the International Startup Festival.
They were McGill students and wavo.me at that time was presented as the iTunes but for your social media, with a web and mobile interface. It’s an ambitious, and to make their dreams true, they applied successfully into FounderFuel, Montreal’s startup accelerator.
The following video tells that story, how they applied to FounderFuel, their involvement in the startup community, what’s included in the program:
The take-away from Conor is that FounderFuel has all the right ingredients, and it’s managed by a group of professionals who know what they’re doing, and who are totally involved into making the startups a success — it’s priceless. It both accelerates the business and the product development time, and gets you connected to the mentors you were only dreaming of. At the end, it also gets you in a room pitching to billions of dollars, again an invaluable value, that will take you years if you did alone. If you have a startup, the right thing to do this week then is to apply to Founderfuel.
The deadline for Founderfuel is at the end of this week, Jan 7th. There’s only a few days left, apply now!
