Montreal Tech Watch

For startup fans and QA \ UX enthusiasts, we’re organizing a bug hunt next thursday. As the name suggests, it’s an event dedicated to get products and their users together, to get valuable comments, bugs, feedback and also an opportunity for product owners to see how people really use their product.

montreal bug hunt

Like in previous editions, we’re doing it the last Thursday of the month, at Notman House, from 6PM. Here is the list of products:

  • Ile Sans Fil is going to test their landing page, whenever a user connects and logs into a ilesansfil network. It’s perhaps the most useful organization in Montreal, so come submit your comments about their page’s usability and (potential) bugs.
  • TikiWiki is an ambitious open source project, with the goal of providing all the software that a small business needs. They’ve done a lot of work in the past years in developing features, and are now in the process of streamlining installation and integrating the software with other utilities
  • BullBear is a news analysis assistant for traders, a tool that came up after years of scientific research on textual analysis. Come have a peak at their application, or talk to BullBear’s product owners.
  • Vega is a new open source security software that tests thoroughly web apps. Use it to discover injection vulnerabilities. Vega is made by the Subgraph team.

If you’re also looking to get your product tested or if you are a UX or QA fan/professional, please do come, we’re hungry for more users!
