Confoo.ca has announced they’re now accepting applications for sessions for next year’s conference.
As stated, they’re accepting a very broad range of topics, both in technologies as well as in development practices. Technologies include the most popular languages and frameworks, aimed at attracting a large number of developers to the conference, and practices include project management practices, as well as new topics for a developer conference like SEO, social media and startups (!)
Started by php Quebec a while ago to create a large developer conference, confoo is now in the agenda of many technology companies, mainly to get visibility for potential hires. It’s the only event in its kind in Canada that offers the opportunity to be in front of many brilliant CSci graduates, and having a session is also a good way for a company to increase their attractiveness.
Last year, confoo also offered workshops and hackathons, available to programmers wanting to hone their skills and gain credibility for their career or consultancy business. YellowPages took the opportunity for instance to promote their API.
