Montreal Tech Watch

We’ve met Wendy Mahew at Startup Festival. Sponsored by iWeb, She’s representing idea2delivery, a project celebrating entrepreneurs. The site aims to connect entrepreneurs, provide educational and informational resources, tools for entrepreneurs such as white papers, plus also a section dedicated to showcase startups and small businesses.

The real highlight of the project though is a reality show / documentary following entrepreneurs in their startup process, from crafting business plans, meeting potential partners, launching the business etc. The first pilote episode is already on youtube, and is getting very positive reviews.

idea2delivery has sponsors supporting the project, Rogers and HTC, but is also supported by BUsiness Launch Solutions, a company by Wendy Mahew providing consulting services to the startup community in Ottawa.

It’s interesting to see more and more multimedia telling the stories of entrepreneurs, on a web format accessible by millions of viewers. See here another film crew from Los Angeles producing a high-impact documentary at Startup Festival.

International Startup Festival 2011

In the same way that TechCrunch inspired lots of techies and kickstarted business plans all over the world, we’ve seen more and more media outlets telling those stories, with many seeing entrepreneurship as a lifestyle, inspiring at the same time a broader audience who have been only contemplating startup-ing
