ORGAnimal is a new web application dedicated to pet owners, gathering all the information about their favorite animal, such as weight, veterinary information, diet info, medications schedule, vaccine.

As seen in the screenshot above, each pet has a profile, with those information easily found in a glance. An address book and calendar is shared between all pets.

ORGAnimal is for the moment is side-project. Vincent Lamanna (@VincentLamanna), one of the project members, hopes they get traction so they would be able to offer social networking on the site, and offer also deals with pet shops and product manufacturers. There might also be opportunities in making premium features for subscribed members.

It’s interesting to see a team working on software for pets. Owners are ready to invest substantial time & resources to make sure their cat or dog get good treatment, and if a web app makes it easy for them, such as reminding them of essential medication, information about pet diet (or maybe even push advice from experts?), then they have no reason to not sign up.
