Montreal Tech Watch

This is great news for the Montreal technology community, for the Tungle team, but above all for Marc Gingras, successful serial entrepreneur who spearheaded Tungle, from beginning to end, with a single focus on making it the best calendar scheduling tool in the market. Tungle’s acquisition by Research In Motion proves once again that by picking a single problem and limit yourself to it is a successful strategy, with other enterpreneurs trying to tackle larger problems but ultimately getting distracted by all the possibilities.

Congrats to Marc from all the Montreal tech entrepreneurs! RIM was the best opportunity for Tungle, since the scheduling tool is what Blackberry users need most, apart from their email application.

For those who are new to Tungle, it was announced at the beginning as a peer to peer application with calendaring functionality (much alike Skype), then switched to a web application, to introduce then Tungle.me and its first Premium feature. It kept its focus though, to be the best scheduling software. Now the team will be joining RIM.
