Montreal Tech Watch

PitchStartup is a new newsletter which aims to collect & inform about new technology startups. Entrepreneurs are invited to write their pitches and the best pitches will be sent to VCs and angels. The service is being made by Patrick Barbeau, known mainly for destinymatches but also for his startup video series Building a Startup.

PitchStartup is a simple idea, with a valuable service for both entrepreneurs and investors, although there are already lots of startup newsletters out there. Even subscribing to Techcrunch via feedburner can give you a daily email with the Valley’s newest startups. The value of PitchStartup could be in filtering, and also in the connections that could be potentially made between angels & tech entrepreneurs, if PitchStartup has a follow-up & messenging system. Today, the value of PitchStartup is in its simplicity, and we’ll have to wait till early July for the first newsletter to see the real potential of newsletter.
