Last week, the tech community called for a spring cleanup of the Notman House, with also the opportunity to have a BBQ at the end of the day. So exceptionnally, everyone left their keyboards and web servers to work together on what now represents technology startups and tech entrepreneurs in Montreal.
The Notman House was used by the Just for Laugh festival, but that was years ago, and since then, there was no work maintenance done for the house, inside or outside.
This also means cleaning the pavement. Since the House is located on corner of St-Laurent and Sherbrooke, one of Montréal’s busiest corners, you can imagine all the work that needs to be done!
A house left for itself attracts drug addicts, and there were many syringes, pretty much everywhere. Hopefully, we can change it together and bring in innovation, growth, and new tech companies instead!
Cleaning everything would have taken weeks for a cleaning crew. Everyone helped Friday so after 60 minutes of work, everything was done
