From next door, Gregory Whiteside (@paisible) has just put online thbll.com. Apart from an unpronounceable name for non-geeks, it’s also a very simple service that will alert web application developers whenever they get a new user. The web application needs to send one POST request to an end URL and thbll will show up publicly that you got a new user. It’s basic, but at the same time, it’s the kind of service that entrepreneurs and consultants are ready to pay for.
You can run it in the background, and then welcome properly users, or support them if you have a complex application. For sites with an ecommerce sections, thbll is even more satisfying since a bell means new revenues! I foresee entrepreneurs being turned on in the next weeks and months by the sound of the bell, perhaps building a pavlovian response to the sund.

This neat useful service was built with canvious a day ago. There was a previous comment on MontrealTechWatch about canvious’s obscurity, with testers troubled by the application’s UI and also canvious’s goal. Now that TheBell has been developed with canvious in just under fourten hours, most developers and entrepreneurs should now have a second look on canvious. I considered it as a weebly for developers, but it turns out to be an application framework.
Check out how you can use thbll
