If you read Hacker News, then it’s a meetup you should definitively go to. As the name suggest (and the logo!), the event started out of from members of Hacker News in Silicon Valley / San Francisco (http://www.hackersandfounders.com/). As such, the event will probably gather more Montréalers with the hacker AND entrepreneur profile, attracted to Paul Graham’s models, such as hacking out with minimal funds, believing in superior programming skills, etc. which made the YCombinator startups one of the most successful and highly-regarded in Boston and Silicon Valley.

Of course, it’s very similar to the already existing co-founders monday and startup drinks, but as stated before, it will attract a different crowd, making it an event you should definitively check out!
