Montreal Tech Watch

devLab @ Evocatio

devLab Montreal (@devlabMtl) are now holding weekly hacking events. The series is clearly targeted for geek and developers, an opportunity for them to hack all evening, on their own ideas, without boring managers or crazy designers

Renoir Boulanger (@renoirb) and Stephan Champagne are the 2 co-founders of devLab Montreal. As developers, one of their dreams were to be able to gather other geeks in a dedicated space.

The concept is interesting because it’s in those free environments that you find innovation, where developers get free from conventions and can challenge existing technologies. Many discussed for instance last wednesday if it were possible to get php objects discuss with ruby objects (or any other language for that matter), plus also many other ideas in Linux, sociology and others
