Late last week, TrainingMobs announced a new design to its existing members. The new website now boasts colorful graphics, neat copy to explain the site’s advantages, as well as a better interface when showing available workouts. When peeking at the site’s source code, there is probably now a new backend powering the app.
It’s a significant step forward for TrainingMobs. As written before, the previous efforts were interesting but the site’s unique value didn’t really stand out and looked like a social networking clone.
Now, TrainingMobs has character and a much better sale for new users. So, is it a success? I have to admit I didn’t use fully the site, since I couldn’t find a workout I’d like soon. I hope they’ll talk to more trainers and get more workouts on the website; and at the same time, add tools to filter and highlight to new users the workouts they’d like.
TrainingMobs founders Jonas Caruana (@jonosapien) and David Sciacca (@davidsciacca) were also today at Usability Fix 7, taking notes from a dozen users, with ears open to feedback. This surely means we’ll see even more improvements in the near future.
