Aéroport de Montreal

Starting Jan 1st, the Montreal Trudeau international airport will offer free wifi to anyone its premises, both in the public checkin areas, as well as the boarding areas.

After connecting to the network, users will have to agree on the terms of service and will get free 60 minutes of free Internet. The service is available to laptops, as well as mobile phones or any device capable of accessing a wifi network (tablets for instance).

This is great news for travellers, who have very few options on what to do before boarding. Now passengers at YUL airport can work, check messages or play, without needing mobile tethering or using costly data plans. Meanwhile, by offering the free service, ADMTL gets points in competitiveness amongst other regional airports or transport hubs, and also gets higher user satisfaction.

One more service for less stressful trips. Now they need to work on the security hassle, the #1 problem at airports (no, it’s not the lack of wifi)
