Group scheduling software Tungle has just launched new options for its users, namely enabling them to customize their public pages, such as adding their own logos, colors, text, i.e. any branding visible to other people you are inviting, plus also favorite locations when setting up a meetup.

This is a premium feature, which means it’s targeted at those who use Tungle professionally. The first 30 days are free, and you can continue using those for $4.99 a month. I can see Tungle being popular for those whose business is meeting their customers every day, such as salespeople, lawyers, accountants etc. Having a professional-looking scheduling software and paying it for less than $4.99 is a no-brainer for them, when you need to close an important deal and everything counts. Plus of course, customers also get the easiest and most efficient scheduling tool available online, with the colors and logos being the icing on the cake.

As of today, those who already have a Tungle account will be invited to customize their profile page and get a test drive of the new feature.

This is a very important milestone for Tungle. For the past 2 years, the service was free, under active development. Is the service really useful for their customers or was it just a gadget who got its customers because it was free? Did it really solve an existing painful problem? If they succeed (and I wish all the bests for them), Tungle will have lots of open doors in front of them. They could develop features for heavy users (such as those who have 4+ meetings a day, with people and hours changing all the time). They could also get more aggressively on other platforms.

Congrats to the Tungle team! And for those who didn’t follow up, don’t forget the tap in tuesday even this evening, with Marc Gingras, founder and CEO of Tungle!

Startups solve problems. So if you find a problem there’s probably a startup idea lying somewhere nearby. A Montreal developer Kenji Williams developed an app called twtspire.com that scours twitter and automatically detects tweets from people that wonder why a solution doesn’t exist for a specific problem they’re having.
