Position: Kick Ass Front End Developer for Startup – HTML/CSS/JS/JQUERY

CrowdTwist is an exciting, New York City based funded alpha stage start-up, founded in 2009. We operate in the hot loyalty software sector. We improve and enrich the connections between a client and fans through our fan club software platform. Our three co-founders have deep analytical, music and entertainment experience (Clear Channel Radio Digital, MTV) as well as prior start-up experience (Fotolog, Community Connect Inc.) and have worked in the financial services and consulting industries.

Requirements:
THE POSITION, RESPONSIBILITIES, SKILLS:
The Front End Developer will be responsible for the implementation of new client interfaces as well as enhancing our core platform. This full time position with salary + benefits is located in Montreal.

Requirements:
- 2-3+ years developing W3C validated front end interfaces direct from design comps. Hand-coding only, no WYSIWYGs. Expertise in HTML(5), CSS(3).
- Expertise in JavaScript, JavaScript libraries/framework (JQuery).
- Good understanding of PHP, AJAX is an asset.
- Production level Photoshop skills.
- Thorough understanding of website development as it relates to the front end integration.
- Thorough quality assurance planning and testing, including cross-browser compatibility. (IE7/IE8/FF/Safari/Chrome, Win/OSX, Mobile).
- Experience working with version control systems (SVN).
- Ability to work in a project team and take direction, but also be self-motivated and independent.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Bilingual is good, but you must absolutely be fluent in English, written and spoken.
