Job description

Our services provide answers to client questions and enable better decision-making based on a rigorous data-driven methodology. Our services are either stand-alone or retainer-based, but always customized to the specific issues and challenges faced by our clients.

The company is now at critical growth stage with ambitious sales targets and plans to greatly increase our visibility in the marketplace. The Sales Director will play a key role in moving Nexalogy Environics into a leadership position in the North American social media intelligence services industry.

The challenge

Are you familiar with companies that would benefit from social media intelligence services? Do you have the ability to identify these companies, contact them and secure their business? The suitable candidate will have extensive, proven sales experience with specific expertise in technology-driven consulting services, helping us increase the scope and depth of our client base and improve the quality of our services related to all mandates. Preferred background would have involved selling advanced research services to large organizations facing complex challenges, such as reputation, product, brand and crisis management.

The candidate will report to the VP Marketing & Client Services to accomplish the following:
• Increase sales by developing new accounts and expanding and enhancing relationships with existing customers;
• Assist in the development and execution of a marketing strategy for growing our business, based on an evaluation of our success (and failure) in the market to date; gather and communicate pertinent information on the market, customers, competitors’ strategies and communicate these as appropriate within Nexalogy;
• As required, assist with quote preparation and follow-up as well as preparation of proposals and standing offers.

Requirements:
Required skills and expertise

• Strong competence as a salesperson with a track record of previous success
• Extensive knowledge of social media issues, strategies and tactics in a business context
• An ability to understand our products and clearly communicate their value to clients
• Demonstrated ability to create long term business relationships with clients
• Ability to support and execute company strategies
• Excellent communication skills including presentation skills
• Creativity and intellectual curiosity
• The ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment
• Strong analytical skills
• A positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
• Extensive network of contacts an asset
• Very strong spoken and reading ability in French and English. Written English must also be very strong;

Written French not required but certainly a plus, as are additional languages.

Nexalogy Environics offers a stimulating work environment that encourages initiative and creativity. We are a team of 6 full time and 3-4 part-time staff. Working hours are flexible, except when deadlines demand a coordinated team effort.
