startup empire

Jevon MacDonald writes that they’ve decided to scale back StartupEmpire to one day instead of two, with tickets now costing $65 instead of of the $245 or so. He cites the economic recession and the need to adapt to hard times.

It’s incredible how things change, with the bloggers at StartupNorth calling entrepreneurs to Start Building Empires and how Canadians entrepreneurs will save VC funds and build amazing startups, just a few months ago. Now, Jevon has been very vocal and dramatic about skies falling, due to what’s happenning in world finance. I’m also looking at the schedule (see below) and the “motivational” speeches and now wondering what message and who to believe in. Who knows if there are more 180 deg turns ahead of the road.
