As a matter of fact, we’ve tried it in the past. Mat Balez (now in London) covered Red Herring Canada, there was also Mehdi Akiki, Simon Law etc. But as I wrote, I am now looking for more “long-term” contributors, someone who wants to contribute on a regular basis, rather than just one-shot. It’s easier to work with, less random, and you can envision building greater things with that kind of collaboration.

there’s an upcoming/parallel project though that fits nicely in what you’re saying. The application is already developed although I’ve tested it and it needs to be improved performance-wise. And it works the way you’ve just said. So stay tuned for announcements.

For what it’s worth, I prefer a close alternative: if the community members (i.e., anyone) submitted their own stories/coverage of the scene events, I think it would have a good potential (wider and frequent coverage). Heri, you can still moderate them and publish them as you see fit.
