I also think shopping at Fido is better. Also there's the $2200 cancellation fee at Rogers (for the iPhone plans), while I know there is no such thing at Fideo

A friend of mine tried to get one in different Rogers shop and was refused because if was not a new customer. Call that customer care.

But another friend bough his iPhone at Fido with a simple voice plan at $35 (and no data). It's weird but the Fido voice plans are better, unlimited starts at 7pm compared to 9pm for Rogers.

He told me that he could also get the $30 6GB data plan. Now I would say that it's not that bad compared to the plan previously announced.

Long, i was just summing up what happenned these last 30 days.

about the protests, I'm not too sure what to think of it since Rogers has a GSM monopole in Canada, prices just reflect the market economics. It would have made more sense if there was another competitor.

anyways, it was probably a good thing since the company offered a more generous plan.

Canadians had good reason to complain until last Wednesday. Come August 31st, we will resume complaining.

If Bell and Telus go through with charging incoming SMS, there will be complaints then too, if it hasn't already started.
