But my concerns was more if most of the people opens up an account on the identi.ca website. Spreading the load of data on different servers is a very ingenious idea that's for sure. I'm going to install the laconi.ca on my server so I can take a look at it. I m also trying to understand how this all work and the advantages you would get by installing it on your own server. I just hope they created a different architecture than twitter to handle all the database queries. An open source version is still a very good idea.
