McGill have this center called Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (http://www.mcgill.ca/management/dobson/). I took a class last year from a teacher there and it's very high quality. I tried once to learn about all the legal documentation for the government required to start and it gets pretty complicated. Especially when you want to be able to receive credit card payments. Lawyers are not cheap and just knowing about it before entering their office could save a lot of legal fees. And even more in the long run. This would be very interesting.

Similar to the local Mobile Monday initiative, it may be useful to plug into existing innovation engines with global recognition e.g., TIE (tie.org) and start a Montreal chapter. They have an Ottawa operation which is quite a trip on a regular basis for Montreal locals.
