Here is Ben Yoskovitz‘s presentation of Standoutjobs. I have already reviewed Standoutjobs; in this video, Ben explains why companies needs RECEPTION and how they can manage and present their company to candidates.
It’s a great, although very quick, presentation of Standoutjobs, and I encourage you to view it. I wish we could have more of those in startupcamps and in democamps.I can’t help to think though it’s just the beginning and there is massive amount of work awaiting them in the upcoming months.

AG: Why don’t you like the business model?
John Stokes February 07, 2008
A good business model usually fills a pain experienced by a large number of people – if you can’t relate to the pain its often hard to appreciate the pain.
The recruitment pain used to be about reach – Monster, job boards etc solved that pain. Reach has created a new pain – this pain is about the quality of candidates – and this pain is yet to be solved.
To solve the “quality” pain requires a two pronged approach; on one hand you need to “filter” applicants based on your and there criteria, on the other hand you need to ensure that you can “hook” those candidates that are ideal for your company. An interesting article in the Globe and Mail sheds some light on this situation.
The filtering is being addressed by new companies such as http://www.quietagent.com and http://www.jobfox.com. Standout Jobs is (amongst other things) providing the tools that will enable any company to build better “hooks” on which to capture the best candidates.
I for one see the demand for these types of tools as a massive (growing) market opportunity and would love to be part of their success ;-)”
