Montreal Tech Watch

montreal python

MontrealPython has a place and a date for their first meeting, and it’s scheduled Thursday evening 7th Feb, at Standoujobs‘ offices on bvd St-Laurent.

MontrealPython was started by Arach Tchoupani and aims to build a local community around Python, much alike montrealonrails, although it’s framework-agnostic. Ironically, MontrealOnRails meetups are planned exactly at the same place, although it has more to do with Austin Hill’s Akoha.org using Python as their technology, and having their offices in the same building.

I’m quite interested in this. I’m a big-time fan of Python. Though I’ve not yet got into Django. Hopefully I’ll be able to come to the meetup.

    Thanks for the note Heri.

We are looking forward to helping host this event. There is a great python community in Montreal and we hope to meet many of the other companies and teams working with Python.

Thanks for helping spread the word.
