Position: PHP Programmer

Responsibilites and Tasks:
NVI Solutions is currently looking for a PHP/MySQL programmer with solid knowledge in OOP to be part of our team on a big scale project. Experience with Zend Framework is a plus.

-Plan, program and test various modules of the application
-Suggest appropriate technical solutions relevant to the project
-Comment the code and develop documentation
-Respect the existing methodologies and coding standards
-Program in a fashion that facilitates code reusability

Required Knoweledge:
required:
-Object-Oriented Programming in PHP5
-MySQL 4 and 5 (MyISAM & InnoDB)
-Understand the MVC concept
-Understand Abstraction Layers
-Understand Design Patterns
-Knowledge of Windows and Linux production platforms
-Knowledge of various IDEs (Zend, Eclipse)
desired:
-Experience with PHP MVC Frameworks (Zend, Cake, Symfony, SoS)
-Knowledge of various AJAX frameworks (Prototype, Scriptaculous, jQuery)
-Knowledge of JavaScript and proeminent libraries
-Knowledge of UNIX platforms (Crontab, SSH, Bash)
-Knowledge of the SVN, HTTP, FTP and SSL protocols
-Knowledge of the various PHP templating systems (Smarty, Savant)
-Knowledge of XML (JSON)
-Ability to use or experience with various open-source APIs (Facebook, Google Maps, Open Social)
-Apache, Apache 2 & LightTPd and their modules (mod_rewrite, mod_ssl, memcached)
