Heri, all of this news is definitely very encouraging. Our gaming industry is going very strong.

Beyond the gaming industry, Montréal is increasingly recognised as a leading city in the digital arts (les arts numériques). I'm slowly beginning to discover this area but our artists and creators are well known throughout the world. Montreal hosts some world class organisations such as the SAT (Société des Arts Technologiques), Oboro, Hexagram, Studio XX and many others and runs a leading festival, Elektra, every spring showcasing this interesting field.

Also, the Fondation Daniel Langlois has an exhibit on the digital arts at the Musée des Beaux Arts until the 9th of December (and it's free!)
