I have thought about this and I think the only solution is someone developing a database for canadian startups and putting the database under CC.

Yeah, add to the mix a few Facebook groups about canadian startups and this starts to look a bit overcrowded… if the QuebecValley database is any good and available under a decent (CC or GFDL) license, I will gladly link to it from yulstart and maybe use the wiki page as a kind of buffer for companies “not yet” in the DB…

I really like the distributed editing too, having one person doing the maintenance can become a bottleneck.

I was thinking about this a few days ago. Is there any way to use something like Google Base or DabbleDB to consolidate a list, and each of us could handle the maintenance of our local city/region/province?

Then we would have a well maintained, national, DB.
