Gesca announces mobile versions of popular news outlets (2)

July 18th, 2007 · by Heri · Mobile

mobile cyberpresse

There is now a cell phone version of cyberpresse, La Presse Affaire and Technaute. It’s not compatible with Internet Explorer or Safari for desktop computers, but you can click on each link if you have Firefox.

This is nice, although I have long abandoned the idea of accessing the web via a mobile phone in Québec.  It’s also noteworthy that Gesca had many problems with mobile phone providers in this case, which wanted revenues for distributing these on their network. One consequence is that there is no advertisements, as the telcos wanted their cut. Am I suprised?
