Bell launches unlimited music subscriptions (2)
Bell Canada has launched today Musique Sans Limites and Music Sans Limites Portable, a service where monthly subscribers can get unlimited tunes for 10$ on their PC and 12$ on a portable player.
Now here is the bad news: this is in fact a rebranded product from Microsoft and their Play for Sure platform, of course it’s not compatible with Apple or Linux-based computers, you lose your songs if you cancel the subscription, the service is loaded with DRM, and the mobile service is only compatible to a mp3 player, which is the k5 Samsung. The music library is also limited to 1.5 million songs, although I have to admit there is a nice choice of music from Québec — and Canada.
