Map of the Web in Montréal (49)
There is a new new updated version with the STM network
The inspiration comes of course from IA JP
The map is not complete, it is a visual representation of people and projects I know of or have seen in Montreal. There are also people who are on multiple projects and I couldn’t solve yet their “visual proximity”.

I see that I have my own “metro station”, cool! :)
Hey that’s really cool. I don’t know how to read it yet though. I’ll have to stare at it a little longer. :)
Interesting, but I hope that the Montreal Web is a lot bigger than that!
@warren of course it’s bigger. I only represent websites and stuff that appeared on montreal tech watch.
Fred — just remember the paris metro system. (although I think I should put a hint for every station)
Cool!
You should add UNYK.com… a Montreal start-up that specializes in contact management…
That is really cool. Would love to talk about it on branchez-vous.com but BV isn’t mentionned … I’m sad …
hi carl, I will update the map
thanks aurélie. if you have another website in mind, leave a comment and I will add it
I must say I’m pleased to be subway station in your network. Thanks! I’m sure it will expand as Montreal has a lot of unknown resourses to be discovered.
Being between Martin and Mitch is a pretty good place to be ;-)
Great idea.
So cool! Thanks for acknowledging our existence even if we’re still in stealth mode! (lots of work going on behind the scenes…) :-)
I’ve never stayed that close to work! Thanks Heri!
Very picky remark: you should twist the blog line a tad so it goes through Yulblog.
Pecha Kucha and Boris should probably have a station too.

This is awesome.
If you want a more accurate pinpoint of me, my offices are just above Cafe Melies… so I should be a little more south compared to where I am ;)
Let’s get some t-shirts made up of this.
:)
Hi there
thanks for the feedback everyone. it’s very appreciated.
patrick: i will update the map soon - when i find a better solution to pinpoint everyone
hey mitch. ok but that would twist the podcast line. :-)

Pretty darn awesome! :)
This is very cool! Thanks, Heri.
Does CITIZENShift fit anywhere on there? Perhaps somewhere near Ils Sans Fils?
just saw this today. love it heri.
i want this in tattoo format.
Really lovely to see that so many people are part of the web industry in Montreal :) pity you’re using someone else’s tube lines though ;) the stm ones are so preety :) maybe not enough stations i guess
Map of the Web in Montréal…
Heri à Montréal Tech Watch y va d’un autre billet haut en couleur et interprète à sa façon les réseaux techno de Montréal. On peut observer un détail du réseau ci bas :
Merveilleux !

Wow!!! Super interesting!!!
BTW: We are a 100% Montreal-based company as of July 5th ;-)
ipub is not on the map ! Too underground maybe !
what about the RSS line and stations ?
what methodology do u use to create the map ?
ipub is not on the map because you can see it as montreal tech watch’s blogroll. but as many readers mentionned, I forgot to include many stations. i should put ipub in the next version. by the way, there was no formal methodology behind the map. it’s an ongoing and continuous work. there is a more recent map by the way if you go through the blog.
tx Heri 4 the answer ;-)
Really cool! Need to import this concept in France :-)
@salut damdam - si tu peux en faire un pour la France, ca m interesserait

Salut,
Of course, the digital arts are not much included, even if many people use FLOSS. See http://wiki.dataflow.ws/PdMtl for instance.
hi alex
what do you mean of course?

Thanks! I will recommend this to all my friends.
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor. Have you tried the ipad? you can get one free at FreshGiftCard.com
And this is the main reaxon I read montrealtechwatch.com. Incredible post.
