Top Canadian Web Apps (4)
June 26th, 2007 · by Heri · startups
Read/WriteWeb has an article about top canadian web applications.
There are 4 web services from Montréal which made the list, namely librivox, wikitravel, standoutjobs and ilovetoplay
Note:
- Thanks to Mat Balez, Nick, François La Roche, Geo Perdis, Scott Lake, Stirling Westrup, Martin Dufort, Samuel and Trevor for participating.
- Special thanks to Ben Yoskovitz, who has been a great ressource and a “people connector”.
- The list covers web applications only. I know there are many other kind of bright startups in Canada, but the post needed to be focused.

A great coverage of Canadian startups. I was very pleased to see your name on a post on Read/Write web by the way.

Sorry to hear that you had trouble signing up for an Octopz trial. It does indeed require Firefox on the Mac at this point and it runs smoothly in that browser.
I’d be happy to actually invite you into an Octopz “Room” and show you around the app. This by-passes the sign-up process for a demo. Alternately you could try signing up again for a free trial.
Best,
geo
I tried firefox2.0 with octopz. it had an error (it froze). i rebooted the laptop and still didn’t work.
