mycarpoolstation, a new car sharing website, reports about what they did during the transit strike in Montreal. They contacted the press, with a note about alternative ways of commuting, and got a coverage.

I would qualify page A2 of The Gazette as decent coverage. I would also qualify a brief mention at 11:35pm on CKOI’s ‘Les soirées contactes de Philippe Pépin’ as… pretty damn cool. I guess the lesson I learnt from this is that I could spend all the money in the world on Google Ads and what not, but nothing sells your product or service better than its recognition amongst customers as a reliable pain-killer.

I find it very clever marketing.
