Telus will market an EVDO Wireless AirCard later this year, which will let mobile professionals access the Internet with up to 400kbites/s. The card is manufactured by Sierra Wireless.
In related news, Telus said that mobile phone numbers – users can change service provider while keeping the same number – will let the company win new users.
I would take these “press releases” with a grain of salt. The EVDO card is not a certainty. I don’t even want to think about the hefty monthly costs. Finally, mobile phone numbers is a good thing but it will also benefit other operators, such as Fido or Rogers.
