Bell launches Mobile Cinema

By Heri Feb 18th 2007 in Mobile

Bell Mobility Customers can now download rent movies from their cell phones, from 5.99$ per movie. You also need the unlimited Internet Access before accessing this service. This is avalaible with Samsung models a920, a900, m500, Sanyo 7500, and LG 550.

I have to say I am very skeptical of this move. The service is expensive and unclear: contrary to the iTunes model, there is no fixed price, and the rental delay is different for each movie. And of course the service is crippled with DRM. But most importantly, I believe a cell phone is not meant to watch feature films, like the Pirates of the Carribean. Youtube videos would have been more relevant.
